Mandraki (Nisiros Island)

The principle port of Nisiros, Mandraki is also one of the largest settlements on the island. The town has the unmistakable Greek feel with whitewashed houses and its wonderfully traditional layout. Around the town you'll discover an assortment of ancient sites including the old fortress of Paleokastro, along with the remnants of an old city which goes back to the fourth century BC. In the midst of all this history, there are a diverse choice of tavernas and bars to choose from.
